PENGARUH TERAPI MUSIK TRADISIONAL GAMELAN

TERHADAP GANGGUAN TIDUR PADA LANSIA

DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS WERU

SUKOHARJO



Abstrak

Gangguantiduryaknidimanaseseorangsecaraterus-menerusmengalamikesulitantidur, namunseringterbangunterlaluawal di pagihari, seringterbangun di malamhari. Meskipunperubahanpolatidurdianggapsebagaibagian normal dari proses penuaan, tetapiinformasiterbarumenunjukkanbahwabanyakdarigangguanini yang berkaitandengan proses patologis yang menyertaipenuaan. Salah satucarauntuk mengatasi gangguan tidur adalah dengan cara terapinonfarmakologisdapatdilakukanpemberianterapimusik. Musik yang lembut dapat membuat pikiran tenang antara lain musik gamelan. Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuipengaruhterapimusik tradisional gamelan terhadapgangguantidurpadalansia.

Penelitianinimenggunakanquasi eksperimendenganpre test- post test without control group.Dengan total sampel yaitupada 39 lansia, variabel yang diamati : pemberian terapi musik tradisional gamelan, gangguan tidur pada lansia. Analisis data menggunakanuji Wilcoxon.

Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwaterdapat pengaruh terapi musik tradisional gamelan terhadap gangguan tidur pada lansia pvalue= 0,000, sehinggaada pengaruh pemberian terapi musik tradisional gamelan terhadap gangguan tidur pada lansia di wilayah kerja puskesmas Weru Sukoharjo.

Kesimpulan bahwa adanya pengaruh terapi musik tradisional gamelan terhadap gangguan tidur lansia.

Abstract


Sleep disordersare problems in which one continuously encounters a sleep difficulty, and gets up too early in the morning and even in the evening.Although the sleep pattern change is regarded as a normal part of aging process. The latest information shows that many of them are related to the pathological process accompanying the aging process. One of the ways to deal with the sleep disorders is a non-pharmacological therapy through the use of music therapy. A soft music such as gamelan traditional music, traditional Javanese music, can make the mind of its hearers calm. The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of Gamelan traditional music on the elderliesÂ’ sleep disorders.

This research used the quasi experimental research method with pre test- post test without control group design.Its samples consisted of 39 elderly respondents. The variables of the research included gamelan traditional music therapy administration and the elderliesÂ’ sleep disorders. The data of the research were analyzed by using the WilcoxonÂ’s Test.

The result of the research shows that the gamelan traditional music therapy had an effect on the elderliesÂ’ sleep disorders as indicated by the p-value = 0.000 so that the gamelan traditional music therapy administration to the elderlies had an effect on their sleep disorders.

Thus, the gamelan traditional music therapy had an effect on the elderliesÂ’ sleep disorders in the work area of Community Health Center of Weru, Sukoharjo.
