Abstrak


Pendidikan usia dini merupakan periode yang penting dan perlu mendapat penanganan sedini mungkin. Usia 4-5 tahun merupakan periode sensitif atau masa peka pada anak, yaitu suatu periode dimana suatu fungsi tertentu perlu distimulus, diarahkan sehingga tidak terhambat perkembangannya. Salah satu kemampuan anak yang sedang berkembang yang harus dicapai anak yaitu terutama motorik halus.Cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk menstimulasi motorik halus adalah senam otak dan menyusun balok.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh senam otak dan menyusun balok terhadap peningkatan motorik halus anak prasekolah.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Dengan rancangan penelitian Quasy-Experiment menggunakan Pre And Post Test Without Control Group Design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah totalsampling dengan jumlah sampel 15 responden.Analisa data ini menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon dengan tingkat kesalahan 0,005.

Hasil Uji Wilcoxon menunjukan nilai P value = 0,001 sehingga P value < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh senam otak dan menyusun balok terhadap peningkatan motorik halus anak prasekolah. Hasil penelitian ini dapat ditambahkan adanya program edukasi kepada orang tua tentang stimulasi motorik halus pada anak prasekolah.

Abstract


Early education period is important and requires early handling. Children aged 4-5 are sensitive, and their functions/abilities need to be stimulated and directed so that their development is not hampered. One of the children’s abilities which are developing and need to be gained is fine motor skill. The measures that can be done to stimulate their fine motor skill are brain gymnastics and arranging-block games. The objective of this research is to investigate the effect of brain gymnastics and arranging-block game on pre-school children’s fine motoric improvement.

This research used the quantitative quasi experimental method with pre-test and post-test without control group design. Total sampling technique was used to determine its samples. The samples consisted of 15 respondents. The data of the research were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon’s Signed Rank Test with the error level of 0.005.

The result of the Wilcoxon’s Signed Rank Test shows that the p-value was 0.001 which was less than 0.05 Thus, the brain gymnastics and arranging-block game had an effect on the pre-school children’s fine motor improvement.

It is recommended that education program on pre-school children’s fine motor stimulation should be also be conducted to parents.
